Amber Jagt, RMT. Amber is a graduate from the Canadian College of Massage &
Hydrotherapy. She came to Nova Scotia after being registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2014. After spending 11 years working multiple roles in Long Term Care as a Recreation Assistant, Restorative Care Aide and a Physiotherapy Assistant, she retrained as a Massage Therapist as a second career.
She has worked as a massage therapist in a 5-star Ontario spa, in massage therapy clinics and she operated her own practice. She is experienced working with a wide range of clients including children, youth, adults, and individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. Amber’s approach to treatment involves creating a safe, non-judgmental, comfortable space, as well as providing a compassionate and a listening ear with the goal of providing clients the best care and outcome from their treatment.
In addition to being a Massage Therapist, Amber is currently enrolled in the Canadian College of Osteopathy. An appointment with Amber will include a variety of techniques including swedish massage, myofascial, positional release, craniosacral and joint mobilizations. Some of these techniques may be performed over clothes and others will follow the traditional approach to massage therapy.
Amber is a member in good standing with the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS). She lives in Halls Harbour with her husband and their golden retriever.
